This weekend came to a close celebrating Jim Henson, with special guest Brian Jay Jones. Mr. Jones is the president of the Biographers International Organization; most recently, he wrote the New York Times bestseller “Jim Henson: The Biography”. Joined by host and Muppet fanatic Kevin Cole, as well as panelists Hannah Gutman and Andrew Michaels, the four sat down to discuss the life of Jim Henson.

The Last Hurrah Celebrates Jim Henson with Special Guest Brian Jay Jones

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present a special episode of its free weekly comedy show The Last Hurrah, “The Last Hurrah Celebrates Jim Henson”, with special guest Brian Jay Jones on September 28. Mr. Jones is the president of the Biographers International Organization; most recently, he wrote the New York Times bestseller “Jim Henson: The Biography”. He will be joined by host and Muppet fanatic Kevin Cole, as well as panelists Hannah Gutman and Andrew Michaels, to discuss the life of Jim Henson and the process of chronicling that life. All are invited to pay tribute to this creative and comedic legend.

The Last Hurrah gives local comedic talent the opportunity to present their material in front of a live audience-one final hurrah before returning to their 9 to 5 jobs on Monday. Each episode is recorded and released as a podcast the following day.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present The Last Hurrah as part of its MET-X series, created to expand the collective horizons of the MET ensemble and its audience. Performances take place on Sundays at 7 p.m. at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St., Frederick) located in the historic FSK Hotel. The Last Hurrah is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
